Identity as New Creations
- Believers become one with Christ when they accept Jesus, receiving a new nature that replaces the old life (Ephesians 2:14-15, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 8)-2:4
- Christians are seated in heavenly places at the right hand of the Father with Christ Jesus, sharing His position and authority (Ephesians )8-2:4
- The Holy Spirit now dwells inside believers, providing wisdom, revelation, and knowledge of God (Eph. 1:17-23 AMP)
Victory Over the Enemy
- Believers have overcome the world and the devil through faith in Jesus as the Son of God (1 John 5:1-5)
- The evil one cannot touch those who abide in Christ and are born of God (1 John 5:18)
- Christians possess authority over the devil in this world through their position in Christ
Living the New Life
- Believers must not continue in habitual sin or return to the old life that Christ freed them from
- God’s commandments are not burdensome when believers love Him and keep His Word (1 John 5:1-5)
- Christians should identify with Christ rather than worldly things or their former identity
Daily Walk with God
- Study God’s Word regularly, recognizing that the Word is God Himself made known (John 1:1)
- Maintain constant fellowship through prayer and spending time with God
- Allow the Holy Spirit to work internally rather than trying to make oneself good through self-effort
God’s Involvement in Details
- God desires to be involved in every aspect and detail of believers’ lives
